Remember me is a tribute to everyone, that have passed away, a song for Dia de los muertos and All Souls' Day. The work of Patricia Trujano Granados consists of two parts. The Son “La Martiniada” and Baroque composition “Dido's Lament” from the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell.

The song La Martiniana is a famous traditional Mexican song, the one for the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, characteristic and above all for its stanza “No me llores, No, Porque Si Lloras, Yo Peno. En cambio, si tú me cantas, yo siempre vivo y nunca muero…” – “Don't cry, 'Cause when you cry, I mourn. is known. But when you sing for me, So I always live and never die”
The song is a traditional son from Oaxaca and was originally called “La Micaela”. The song became very popular with new lyrics by Andrés Henestrosa.

Henry Purcell, Dido and Aeneas
Dido and Aeneas is an opera in three acts by Henry Purcell. The libretto was written by Nahum Tate based on the epic poem Aeneid by Virgil. The first performance took place 1688 or 1689 in London.
Dido's lament "When I am laid in earth" comes from the third and last act of the opera.
